The JOYO Extreme Metal Pedal is one of the company's most popular effect pedals. Its 6 control knobs – "High," "Mid," "Low," "Boost," "Level," and "Drive" – allow for precise shaping of the frequency response, enabling you to achieve a wide range of metal, rock, and punk sounds.

With the combination of the 3-band EQ and the drive and level knobs, you can explore a diverse tonal spectrum, from heavy blues to hard rock and high-gain metal. At a gain setting around 9 o'clock, using a bridge position humbucker, you can capture excellent classic rock tones. Switching to the neck pickup yields a thick, creamy sustain-filled lead tone, perfect for heavy/rock blues lead playing.

Cranking the gain to 12 o'clock or higher unleashes brilliant hard rock tones reminiscent of G N' Roses, Metallica, and Iron Maiden. Adjusting the 3-band EQ here provides an abundance of tonal variety. For a more "metal" sound, try scooping the mid and adding more highs and lows.

Pushing the gain to 3 o'clock delivers an all-out metal onslaught. Scooping the mid and boosting the bass and highs will transport you to metal heaven, with pinch harmonics flying off your guitar. The tight low end helps keep palm-muted galloping riffs sounding crisp and clear.
